Why I write.

This is my first REAL blog.  Ever.

I've always been a dreamer.  My father and I would talk about the universe for hours when I was a child.  I think he sparked my interest in learning.  Thankfully, it's something I never grew out of.  He took me to see Carl Sagan speak in 1993.  I was 9 years old.  My father said "you're too young to realize how valuable this experience is.  You'll really appreciate it when you're older.  While I was amazed by the universe when I was little, that passion has grown immensely.  My father was right.  I had no idea what an amazing path I would eventually be on.

I write because I can feel the universe inside of me, trying to express itself.  I write because I live in a universe that allows me to express my perspective.   I write to express the thing I live inside.

I have so many things to share.  Things you probably never imagined were possible. I've been researching some of the more "taboo" phenomenons in the universe, and have drawn some unique conclusions.  Hopefully you're open minded enough to at least consider some of the possibilities that exist.

Perhaps you find yourself asking the age old question: "Why are we here?"
I never felt like that question was big enough.  We're here.  So what?  The question couldn't be that simple... No.  The question had to be more obvious and slightly more mysterious.  That's when it hit me... "Why do we KNOW we're here?"

Beyond textbook definitions, science knows very little about consciousness.  It's hard to deny it's existence, but that doesn't really help explain WHAT it is.  (What is it made from?  Is it a chemical process?  Do you have to be alive to possess it?  Is it something that only exists in your head?)
If you're sitting there thinking "consciousness is when I'm awake, or when I'm aware, who cares what it is" consider this.  Without an observer, mass (like everything you can touch and feel) tends to be in multiple locations at the same time.  What does that mean?  Well, like the universe, the possibilities are virtually endless.
It really makes you wonder about the cliche question "If a tree falls in the woods, and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?"  If you break it down to a quantum level, the counter-question would be "Was the tree actually there to fall in the first place?"

Stick around.  It only gets weirder from here.
